Fresh into 2026 the AFRC Championship opens for registration on 26th January 2026. Following interaction from the competitors there have been some championship developments for 2026 as follows:
- Regulation forbidding GPS devices being used for predictive timing is withdrawn for 2026
- Snetterton will be a single extended race with a mandatory pit stop awarding double points
- One-off registration fee is now available (£50)
- Trophies for veteran competitors
Work continues behind the scenes to develop the championship to benefit the competitors. Without the support of the competitors and our commercial partners the championship simply wouldn’t be able to provide the arena for the competition to the level it does.
Race To The Finish F1 Memorabilia have supported AFRC every season without fail since 2015. They have provided trophies for PI awards every season and also class awards until 2024 and also the amazing Formula 1 wheel table/trophy for the championship winner. As we enter 2026 we take opportunity to thank Mark and Amanda for their unwavering support to our championship as they turn their attention slightly and won’t be in a position to continue their fantastic trophies.
Joyce Design Ltd is another of our longstanding championship partners who for five seasons have looked after our competitors with livery packs, helping us create a professional and standardised look on the grid. We’re excited to see this partnership continue into 2026. Once finalised the mandatory liveries will be with the competitors ready for the first round. On behalf of the competitors it’s great to thank Joyce Design for their continued support. Joyce Design are based in Chelmsford, Essex who provide vehicle wrapping, exhibition displays, signage, architectural films and paint protection products. They are well rooted in UK Motorsport having worked with teams on the full breadth of categories in the country from BTCC, BSB, TCR UK all the way down to the lower categories.
We continue to work with other potential partners looking to use our championship as a mechanism to promote their brand and in return also increasing the quality of the championship for the competitors. News to follow as and when information becomes available.
The registration link can be found on the AFRC home page which is currently undergoing some updating.
