Championship Sponsorship

A key development area for AFRC is the formation of partnerships mutually beneficial to competitors, AFRC and the external partner. Use of our partner network allows us to extract the very best value for money for the sponsor, the championship and competitors.

All commercial undertakings for 2023 and beyond are carried out by Fly Motorsport Ltd.

What can we offer?

We have a striking marketing platform from liveries on competition cars to paddock branding through to social media and website. We can provide hosting at competitive events and corporate activity days, with our vast experience organising events and our reliable and professional partner network we are able to cater for any budget whatsoever from £1000 upwards.

We provide a bespoke proposal for every enquiry which is tailored for the best possible benefit for all parties involved.

Our championship operates with 750 Motor Club and has access to preferable marketing rates through their business. We can offer advertising in every race programme throughout the season whilst reaching the club membership by Email (circa 5,000 members).

Our competition cars are often used at various public engagements throughout the year. Over the years we’ve exhibited at military family days, airshows, motorsports shows, engineering events and county shows. When not being used in competition our cars are scattered around the country (mostly on military establishments) . In 2019 the average distance for competitors to travel was 100 miles to competitive events. With an average of 35 competitors over the course of the year, just for the competitive events alone is 35,000 miles of competition cars using the UK road network on trailers at an average speed of 50mph which equates to 700 driving hours nationwide (plus travel for testing and public engagement events).

Why sponsor AFRC?

We have excellent reach through social media and are constantly developing our Business to Business partnership network. Hosting is available at each and every round and any financial contributions might offset corporation tax. Our current partnerships will ensure that brands are represented in the best possible manner and our well-developed engagement strategy will ensure reach potential is met. Prior to onboarding new partnerships we consult current partners to ensure no conflict occur between partners, for example we wouldn’t partner with two graphics / branding specialists.

Partnership levels

For paid partnerships we can offer the following:

Bronze – Smaller logo placement on the racing cars, such as a sill sticker or wing mirror. Inclusion in the social media engagement plan and website links / news articles. Prices from £1000 per season.

Silver – Prominent logo placement on the racing cars, website, social media and branding opportunities in the paddock. Hosting available at the race meetings. Prices from £2000 per season. Number plates on each car are a good example of a Silver partnership.

Gold – Headline sponsorship will see a rename of the race championship to include the partner name in primacy. A prime location will be used on the racing cars for brand representation and subject to the agreed package hosting at each and every round can be arranged. Branding of the paddock / hospitality area will also be prime for a headline partner. It is not possible to provide a standard cost for a headline partner as there are too many variables. Name and logos to be included on all press releases, results sheets etc in a prime location, website/social media links etc.

Platinum – A completely bespoke package where the partner receives more benefits and impacts the competitor the most. As with the gold package, it’s impossible to put a standard price on this package.

Goods sponsorship

We also welcome goods supply partnerships which can either reduce our operating costs or bring a new capability to our championship. Our standard expenditure on goods is mainly the consumables we use, such as hospitality items (tea, coffee, waters etc) and the vinyl we supply to the competitors. Any goods supply partnerships will be assessed and represented inline with the above partnership levels.

How will we spend your money?

For financial partnerships we carefully design a model to bring best VfM for the partner. From our side we will have liabilities to this agreement, such as administration, buying materials, branding, hosting etc. Once all the liabilities have been settled the remaining sponsorship will be shared across the events as income on each event. Profit from the individual events will be shared amongst the competitors from that event by issuing credit to their account and used to offset future entry fees.

Using reward points to distribute any profit made ensures competitors are getting the sponsorship to directly support their competition whilst also ensuring their benefit is being used to further represent your brand at AFRC rounds. The use of reward points in lieu of profit also means that only the competitors representing your brand (by competing at events) are getting the benefit of the sponsorship.

With the exception of headline sponsorship and of the partnership levels/packages can be accommodated on a round by round or season basis (subject to space availability). Any partnership enquiries should be sent through the website contact form and someone will be in touch to discuss.
